Following on from our first two successful events, we are excited to annouce the THIRD Birmingham Experience Design meetup! We have two amazing speakers lined up with a focus on Healthcare – it is going to be one not to miss! On top, we can also promise FREE food, drinks, opportunities to get to know your BHXD community, and maybe even some stickers (!). Join us on 4th March. We aim to offer an open and inclusive environment as a focal point that will support the growth of the experience design (XD) community in Birmingham. What do we mean by open and inclusive?
We’re not focussing on one aspect of digital design. We want to promote and share the best of user-centred, research-driven design, and that cannot be achieved by working in silos. Whether you consider yourself a UX, interaction, content or service designer… A user researcher, product manager or a combination… if you’re a student, junior, senior or leader and want to learn more about or move into these fields… we hope to provide a place where you will find people and topics to engage and inform.
Importantly, we also want to build on some of the positive movements we’ve seen within the design and technology industry recently and make sure that inclusivity and accessibility are baked into all that we do from the start. We might not get everything right the first time, but we’ll try, and we’ll keep improving.
No recruiters please, thanks for your understanding.
Our goals Create a focal point that can help to support an XD community in Birmingham Provide opportunities for knowledge sharing and networking with peers in the industry Increase the profile and confidence of our practice in the Birmingham tech ecosystem Live up to our values. BHXD Values

He has continued to champion this community for the last four years with a view to support creative talent to thrive.
