Martin O’Hanlon loves technology and creates projects & learning resources for Raspberry Pi Foundation, a UK-based charity that works to put the power of computing and digital making into the hands of people all over the world. As a child he wanted to be either a computer scientist, astronaut or snowboard instructor. Martin created Blue Dot as a super simple way to remotely control Raspberry Pi projects using Bluetooth and is co-author of ‘Adventures in Minecraft’. @martinohanlon.
Dr Alan Richards is Innovation Lead at the Disruptive Media Learning Lab at Coventry University. Alan’s career has encapsulated a multitude of roles, from electrical engineering, business improvement and long-term strategy, to lecturing in management information systems and organisational behaviour. Amongst Alan’s many hats, he is also Certified facilitator of LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® method and materials. His passion is for disruptive innovation that melds business imperatives with academic endeavour to maximise practical application. @cualanrichards. Alan’s talk will be looking at DIY drone technologies by everyone from the Taliban to citizen journalists.
