There is not long to go till our annual summer BBQ event. This year marks a major change as are partnering with Fazeley Events, The Custard Factory and also the BBC Academy’s Digital Cities week. The evening promises to be a great evening of networking featuring the Silicon Canal Working Group leaders and also guests from our inaugural ‘Sink or Swim’ investment event!

In the run up to event, we will be featuring profiles of each  working group leader, investor and more. Keep checking the blog for new profile.

Our second profile features Gary Lennon, co-founder and director of BizBritain Finance and our ‘Investment Working Group’ leader.

Gary defines the role of his working group as:

“The aim of our group is to help promote the number of companies involved with Silicon Canal and help to connect them for collaboration.”

Gary is well known in the finance sector. BizBritain provide FCA licenced credit brokerage, specialising in startup and early growth finance, primarily in lending. Gary and Bizbritain play an important role in identifying and helping startups  on their journey.

We asked Gary, why people should get involved in Silicon Canal.

It’s a great opportunity to make technology stand out as one of the primary places to work, set up businesses and add value to the economy. I personally wish to attract more investors to the region

Gary will be talking more about his role within Silicon Canal and will be happy to network with you at the Summer BBQ.

To ensure you can take advantage of this unique opportunity, make sure you book you tickets soon as they are selling out fast.
